What Are the Requirements for Revenue-Based Funding?

Revenue-based funding providers usually review verifiable business revenue, operating history, bank-account activity, existing obligations and the owner’s credit profile. Propello currently focuses on businesses generating $20,000 or more per month alongside its credit-profile criteria. That is a best-fit target, not a universal lender minimum or a promise of approval.

How Is Business Revenue Verified?

Reported sales need to line up with supporting records. Depending on the program, that may include business bank statements, processor statements or financial reports. Transfers between your own accounts and proceeds from another loan are not the same as customer revenue.

Give the reviewer the full picture if you collect through several accounts. A large invoice that has not been paid can be useful context, but it is different from cash already received and available to support payments.

Is Revenue the Only Requirement?

No. Two businesses with the same sales may have different expenses, credit profiles and debt payments. A provider needs to understand the amount left available after normal operations, not just the largest deposit on a statement.

  • Average monthly revenue and recent changes.
  • Time in business and industry.
  • Estimated credit score and relevant credit history.
  • Existing daily, weekly and monthly financing payments.
  • Amount requested, intended use and timing.

Does Revenue-Based Funding Always Have Variable Payments?

No. Do not infer the payment structure from the marketing label. Funding approved partly on revenue may be a loan or another financing arrangement. Some agreements use fixed payments; others tie remittances to revenue under specific provisions. Confirm the structure before comparing offers.

Turn Sales Into a Funding Conversation

If monthly receipts are $30,000 and ordinary operating outflows are $25,000, the remaining $5,000 is not automatically an affordable loan payment. Existing debt, taxes, owner needs and a reserve for slower weeks still have to fit. Bring those numbers with the revenue total.

Educational information, not a loan offer. Availability and terms depend on the program, property or business, and borrower qualifications. Legal and tax questions should be reviewed with your advisers.
